Building homes, restoring hope, and serving families in Mexico

Our Story

Our founder, Osiel Garza, grew up in Monterrey, Mexico. While it is the wealthiest city in Latin America, Osiel saw firsthand the severe poverty on the outskirts of the city. In an effort to address homelessness, the Mexican government provides families with a plot of land, but most families lack the means to ever build a safe home on it.

What started as a small mission effort is growing into a team of volunteers and donors who offer time, resources, and prayer as our team works to give these people long-term homes. We listen to needs, bring in local masons from Monterrey, and start putting hands to work.

Each home dedication includes a short worship service, about 30 minutes long, that centers the family and the community in gratitude to God. We open by welcoming everyone present, followed by a prayer. A local pastor leads us in 5-10 minutes of worship music, and Osiel shares a brief reflection on Casa de David's mission, grounded in scripture, and an invited guest speaks on the theme of giving and receiving.

After photos, we present the family with the keys to their beautiful new home! Once the ribbon is cut and the door opens, we enter together singing songs of praise and thanksgiving, and close the service in prayer.

From pouring foundations to handing over keys, our chief desire is for everything we do to reflect Christ's love to these men, women, and children.
