Two more families received the keys to safe, finished homes during our September trip.
Our trip to Monterrey started with a 7:30 a.m. pickup at our hotel. We met with the builder, Arnulfo Hernandez, and our local Monterrey pastor, Manuel Mendoza. A guest pastor from south Texas also traveled with us that month to see what God is doing through Casa, and to briefly speak at the ceremony.
When everyone assembled at the first site, Osiel began by reading Scripture to open the ceremony. Jorge Reyes, our Texas pastor, gave a short message, followed by family pictures; finally, the keys were handed over!
Inside the new homes, our group sang two songs of praise led by Pastor Manuel, and then we prayed together. We always make a point of praying for the families receiving homes, that the Lord would bless those who inhabit them.
We walked from the first house to the next and repeated the ceremony there with Areli and her infant.
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."
